I loveeee yogurt BUT I do not like to be conditioned to the flavors added to it, so I started doing things differently in order to make it to my taste and to simply make it healthier and most important without all the added stuff packed yogurt brings…such as SUGAR!. So I buy non-fat plain Greek yogurt and just add a tablespoon of the fruit sauce and voila!.
Below is the recipe for the most delicious blueberry sauce for yogurts you will ever taste!!!. You can follow the same recipe using strawberries, blackberries and raspberries.
*1 cup of water
*1 pint of fresh blueberries
* 1 teaspoon of real vanilla extract (try to only purchase real extract, it makes a HUGE difference)
*4 Splenda packets (you can add more if you like)
* 1 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
In a sauce pan, add the water, the vanilla together at medium heat. After it starts forming bubbles in the water, add the sugar and the lemon juice. Once the sugar is dissolved (which is pretty quickly), add the blueberries. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stir occasionally until is a bit thicken. Let it cool completely and place it in a glass jar ( I keep mine in a Mason jar).
